Experience The Phenomenon

If Beethoven were alive today - do you honestly believe he would sit down in front of a Steinway and play the minuet?

I DON'T THINK SO!

Beethoven was innovative for his time. There's no reason to believe he'd be any different in ours. Given the possibilities of today's digital technology, chances are, Beethovan's compositions would push the envelope beyond the norms of today's music scene.

That's what the SYNTHOVAN project is all about.

Synthovan strives for a sound that is just as nostalgic as it is new and different - and as romantically poetic as it is Hip-to-the-Beat. After all - isn't that what you'd expect from somebody named SYNTHOVAN?

Over the past 100 years, innovative pioneers like Raymond Scott, Leon Theremin, and Robert Moog, have given rise to an entirely new medium in music. It is our burdensome responsibility, as electronic composers and musicians, to build on their foundation by exploring the full potential of our modern computer music technology.

So why the name, Synthovan?

SYNTHOVAN is the pseudonym I use to personify my synthesized electronic music. These electronic compositions consist of original scores performed on software synthesizers. Under the guise of Synthovan I separate from my conventional self to reach beyond my comfort zone to explore new avenues in creativity.

Since 2001, I have received many requests to use my music for sound tracks on web sites, documentary films, and educational projects. My compositions are free to use on all non-commercial endeavors. I only ask that you give credit where credit is due. No commercial use is allowed without my expressed written permission.

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.

The response to the Synthovan Project has been overwhelming. Many say they love listening to my compositions in the background while doing housework and homework. I've heard from artists, writers, and crafters who say they use it while brainstorming new ideas to explore new avenues of creativity. Others claim to use it as a self-hypnosis vehicle for meditation. And even more flattering, some say they've used it to help set the tone for a romantic evening.

Let Synthovan entertain you. Dance, work, and play against the hypnotic backdrop of romantically innovative electronic melodies that will inspire the creative genius within you. There is magic in Synthovan's music. And you can download Synthovan's music for FREE because you're from Everett. And everyone else can download them for free because, "I'm from Everett."

Come, experience the phenomenon that is - SYNTHOVAN
